Skanda Acoustics Ltd (hereafter referred to as “Skanda”) takes your privacy seriously and has put together this policy to provide you with information about the type of data we collect when you visit www.savolit.co.uk (hereafter known as “the Website”).
Personal Information
In general, when browsing the Website, Skanda does not process or collect any personal information that allow us to identify you as an individual. There are exceptions to this. Our cookie usage is explained below.
Cookies
The Skanda Savolit website uses cookies. By using our website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.
About cookies
Cookies are small text files that are sent by web servers to web browsers, and which may then be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.
Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie consists of a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, which will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date). A session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.
What Cookies Does Skanda Use?
Performance Cookies
Skanda uses Google Analytics to help us monitor the performance of our website. When someone visits our website, we collect standard internet log information which allows us to find out information such as the number of visitors to the Website. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone.
Essential Cookies
Some cookies are essential for the operation of the online ordering part of our website. If you choose not to accept cookies from Skanda, you willl not be able to use this service. These cookies only exist for as long as your browser remains open and are destroyed when you close your browser or when you complete your order. The data stored in these cookies is encrypted.
Third Party Cookies
Some third party cookies (cookies from domains other than www.savolit.co.uk) are used on the Website. For instance, when paying for your order online, cookies from PayPal are sent to your browser. We also use Google Maps which requires cookies served by Google.
Can I prevent Cookies being used?
You can usually modify your browser settings to prevent cookies. However, by disabling cookies, or certain types of cookie, you may hinder your user experience on this and other websites, or prevent them from working entirely. You must have cookies enabled for the Skanda website to make use of the online ordering facility.

Website Orders
When you place an order on the Website, we collect details from you that allow us to process your order. Such details will include your name, address, email address and telephone number. These details are subsequently processed in two ways. Firstly, they are sent to us in the form of an email to let us know we’ve got a new order. Secondly, they are stored in a database. We store this information purely for internal record keeping purposes and to allow us to keep track of your order. Our database is very secure and is accessible only by Skanda managers. We do not collect, store or process any credit/debit card information. Because this information is encrypted and handled by our payment provider we do not store any of this information on our website nor do we have access to your complete card details at any time.
You can, if you so wish, ask us to remove your personal information from our database.
Contact Form
Should you use the contact form on the Website to get in touch with Skanda, the information you provide us with (such as your name, email address, telephone number) is sent to Skanda in the form of an email. The information in that email will be used by Skanda solely to process your query and it will be discarded as soon as your query has been dealt with. Contacts of a more technical nature (e.g. relating to the Website) may also be forwarded to Skanda’s web developers but again, this information will be discarded once your query has been processed.
Do we share your information with anyone else?
No. We will never pass on any information we hold about you to any third party unless a) we have your prior consent and there is a legitimate reason for doing so, or b) we are required to do so by law.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent accidental or unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place reasonable and appropriate measures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Only authorised employees of Skanda and the developers of the Website (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information.
Links to other sites
We may link to other websites which are not within our control. Once you have left the Website, Skanda cannot be held responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
Skanda will update this Privacy Policy from time to time as and when the need arises.
